Hello all! I've been gone from here for a good long while, but couldn't stay away *grin*

Not a whole lot going on. I met a guy and I actually like this one, LOL! Beth will understand how unheard of this is! Hopefully it works out on the long term. My fingers are crossed. My little one is doing very well. He turned six in June and we got new neighbors, they have a six year old boy, too! There are days I hardly see Gavin anymore, LOL! It's really good for him, though. Not much else new and exciting. Hope things are going well for all of you and merry meet to all the new faces!

So, I was cleaning up around the house when my 5 year old son comes out of the bathroom screaming. This resulted in the funniest trip to the emergency room I've ever had. He had stuck a little plastic jewel up his nose! And, man, was it ever stuck! Took three people to get it out. I don't know what the hell was going through his wee head, but apparently that jewel just looked better IN his nose than out of it. He told the nurse it "just jumped in there." LMAO! Anyway, no harm, no foul. It is out and I swear I'm saving it forever. Such stories I will have for the first time he brings a girl home!!!

So, it's a good thing I was able to get my booty up to Sedona a few weeks ago, because I would be losing it right now if I hadn't. I did finally make it up there, just my son and I. We stayed three days, two nights and it was absolute heaven. I shouldn't have left!! LOL!

 

So, a week and a half ago I got pulled over for driving in the carpool lane, the officer didn't see that my son was in the car with me. Well, being a single mom and all (I hate to pull that card, but it's does have bearing) my insurance had lapsed a few weeks back. So, the officer took my license plate which had been suspended. So, I took a breath, pictured myself back in that beautiful place, and got it all taken care of. I did all of this by Tuesday of last week. Well, this morning I'm driving along taking Gavin to school in Phoenix (about a 30 min drive), happy that I'm on time for once. Minding my own business, and I get over into the carpool lane. No sooner do I do that but I get pulled over again. UGH! No big deal, though, right? I got everything taken care of last week, right? Ha! The officer informs me that my license has been suspended and he is taking my license and my car!! So, I start crying, like any girl would do. I tell him that it can't be true, I'm current on everything and I was just AT the MVD a week ago!! No, he says, it has been suspended and I am lucky he is not hand cuffing me and taking me to jail and putting my son in protective custody!! Driving on a suspended is a criminal offense. It's about this time that I realize I am on the side of the freeway with my five year old son, I don't have my cell phone and he is about to leave me there. Just freaking great....

Well, I'm totally bawling at this point, completely confused and scared and my stomach is eating itself I'm so worked up. I have no idea what to do. The tow truck guy was really, really nice though, and drove me and Gavin home. I still don't why my license is suspended, but from what I understand from this officer, even if I get my license back today, my car is still going to be impounded for 30 days. This has to be some kind of karmic pay back. If only I knew what I did wrong?!?!?!?

Anyway, I am shamelessly soliciting any kind of positive energy I can get. You guys cross your fingers, light a candle and send me good juju! I need it in the worst way!!

Ahhh, Sedona and the trees are calling. Beth knows what I'm saying! It's usually an annual thing for us, although it's been almost two years since the last time we were able to make it up. I have to write about it because I am so excited, I can hardly contain myself! I love the desert, yes it's true, but I MISS trees. Real trees, big, foresty, piney trees. It is such a healing and spiritual thing to sit in the middle of the woods with your closest friend and just...be.   Plus, I don't know how many of you have been, or have heard of Sedona, but it has several energy vortexes. And whether you actually choose to buy into this claim or not, the feeling is undeniable. You are just filled to bursting with the most amazing energy when you are there, you can't help but wear your most ridiculous and happiest grin. Only a few more weeks, and I will be waking up in one of my most favorite places on earth. I have but one word for you: WOOT!!!!!!!!   Blessings, Mae
